Halo SleepSack Self-Soothing Swaddle | Motherhood | El Paso Photographer
You would think with child # 2, you would have everything down. NOPE. Max is soooo much different than Eli. Max takes a bottle and pacifier. Eli didn’t. Max can be rocked to sleep. Eli had to nurse to sleep. Max breaks out of his swaddles. Eli didn’t.
Let’s talk about sleep. Max hit the 4 month sleep regression EARLY. When Halo reached out to me about reviewing their product, I was totally in. I was struggling with Max. Having one child and waking up every hour isn’t so bad when you can nap the next day. Having a very active toddler who doesn’t nap and a 3 month old waking every hour was HARD. I started using Halo’s SleepSack Self-Soothing Swaddle during nap time and then introduced it at bed time.
WHAT. A. GAME. CHANGER.
It promotes natural arm position for self soothing. Max is constantly gnawing on his hands so the soft silicone teethers were perfect for his little gums.
It is designed for babies who resist arms down swaddling. Max is a legit Houdini. He always manages to get his arm out and his startle reflex always wakes him up.
It’s 4-way stretch cotton offers a snug and comforting fit. Max doesn’t like anything that it too tight.
It has a 2-way zipper for easy dressing and diaper changes. This helps so much because its so quiet. Anything with velcro wakes Max up.
Max is learning how to roll over. Once he starts rolling consistently, we will be transitioning him to the HaloSleep Easy Transtion SleepSack. Stay tuned for that review.
