Yani turned one in November but because she and her mom got sick, the cake smash session had to be pushed back. I usually do my sessions outdoors. However, the high for El Paso, Texas on December 23. 2017 was 50 degrees. YIKES! Yani’s mom didn’t want to do them outdoors. I didn’t blame her.  It was overcast and COLD. We did the session in my bedroom. I set up my seamless paper backdrop and used the large window for the natural lighting.

It took her a while to even want to touch the cake. She wasn’t sure what it was. After mutiple attempts, mom finally put some cake in her mouth and she was hooked!
